National Day Special : Singapore Street Fare 2013, Sentosa

NATIONAL DAY SPECIAL: SINGAPORE STREET FARE AT SHANGRI-LA’S RASA SENTOSA RESORT & SPA

Silver Shell Cafe of Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa celebrates Singapore’s National Day with an array of hawker dishes prepared buffet style at its Singapore Street Fare promotion on 9 August 2013.
Popular street dishes such as char kway teow, laksa, lor mee, yong tau foo, oyster omelette, carrot cake and satay are highly recommended.

The wide spread also pays homage to Singapore as a melting pot of cuisines, cultures and backgrounds. Traditional recipes with Malay and Indian influences infused with aromatic spices such as roti prata (Indian flat bread), chicken and fish curry, turmeric rice, fish otah (fish paste with spices and coconut milk) and achar (pickled spicy vegetables) are offered at the six buffet stations. Representing the Chinese culture are dishes such as bak kut teh (herbal meat broth), roast meats and many more.

Accompanying popular sweet afters include tau suan (mung beans cooked in sago) with dough sticks, chendol (a coconut milk and palm sugar dessert with jelly served with ice), durian cream puff, potong ice-cream (traditional Malaysian and Singaporean ice-cream) and assorted Nonya pastries.

Timings: 6pm - 10pm
